After a couple of years of conversations with Muslims and equipping others for conversations with them, our new neighbors, ‘Het Kruispunt’ (‘The Crossing’) was founded a year ago, in order to work more professionally.
The Thirty-eighth General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America met in Nashville, Tennessee June 29-July 2, 2010, at the Nashville Convention Center, hosted by Nashville Presbytery. A total of 1,311 commissioners attended (978 Teaching Elders and 333 Ruling Elders).
I have led a Bible study for women in our neighborhood for the last three years. The group is made up of women from various backgrounds as well as believers and nonbelievers. We have studied the life of Christ, the Psalms, Proverbs and several other books of the Bible using the Redemptive Historical approach to scripture though none of the women involved come from the Reformed background.
There are currently 2 million pastors in Africa and about 90% of them have no formal training. Most African pastors do not have access to quality theological education. This results in theological ignorance, biblical error and spiritual confusion. Even those who desire to study are unable to leave the churches they serve.

Christ has blessed The North American Reformed Seminary (TNARS) in 2010.
The week leading up to Easter was a significant time for Grove Chapel in that it marked the main thrust of the Passion for Life initiative in the UK. All over Britain local churches were reaching out with the gospel to their local communities. Here in Camberwell, South London, we sought to do that with around twenty different events and meetings all of which were designed to bring the message of salvation to different groups of people.
I have been involved in the following ministries over the past several months:
God has been faithful in blessing many ministries that I have been a part of even while He has seen fit in His providence to end some others. My ministry with CityTeam, which is a program devoted to rehabilitating those with addiction problems from a Christian perspective, has grown in terms of others helping minister.
Dear friends,
Ever since a young Turkish pastor, who was planning to take a seminary course with me, was murdered because of his faith (2007), I have been much more concerned about freedom of religion on the international level. Because many of the perpetrators either want to remain in darkness or else respond to international pressure, the least we can do for persecuted Christians is to publicize their plight around the world.

The latest issue of the International Journal for Religious Freedom is available for download on the web, so that scholars all over the world do not depend on the printed version to evaluate the labour of the institute behind it. The journal is edited by the Cape Town Bureau of the International Institute for Religious Freedom under the direction of Dr Christof Sauer and Dr Mirjam Scarborough.
