“As followers of Christ, we are reminded of the hope and assurancewe have received through his death and resurrection. We pray that thisLent season and especially the week of prayer could be a time wheremany will be comforted and also comfort others," said Dr David Boan, who heads up WEA’s Relief & Development Coordination Center andwho has led WEA’s COVID-19 Task Force since the onset of the pandemic last year. Just like the Apostle Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:
"Blessed bethe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of merciesand God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that wemay be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with thecomfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
