Initiatives at Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia

WRF member Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA has undertaken a $4.4 million capital campaign. The Capital Campaign arises naturally from the Strategic Planning Initiative we began in 2005.

That church-wide planning process generated an important list of capital projects that our members and leaders recommended for growing our ministry to Philadelphia and the world. These projects promise to advance every aspect of our mission, which include:

1) Building a Fellowship of Kingdom Minded Disciples – We seek to renovate our existing facilities to keep up with the growing demands of our congregation, install an elevator to enable full participation in the church by anyone who is unable to use the staircases, and install a new digital organ. 2) Reaching Center City and Evangelize Philadelphia – We seek to reach Philadelphia’s growing, ethnically diverse communities through church planting. With four daughter churches planted in the last ten years – Christ the King, Christ Liberation Fellowship, New City Church, and Cresheim Valley Church – we pray that we have only just begun to reach people where they are with the hope of the gospel. 3) Multiplying Gospel Ministry to the World – We seek to build on our history of partnering with ministries around the world through praying, giving, and sending short- and long-term workers by funding capital projects with six of our close partners. These projects will care for orphans in Liberia and Colombia, develop church leaders in France and Africa, train leaders for the Muslim world, and plant churches in the Middle East.
