Counseling Advice Requested - Grace Community Church (Mertztown, Pennsylvania, USA)
Grace Community Church (Mertztown, Pennsylvania, USA) has always held to a Reformed understanding of God's sovereignty and human responsibility.
However, we have several members who are struggling with these concepts.
Some are becoming more firmly Calvinistic. Others are questioning long-held beliefs in the compatibility of these two great truths. One lady has prayed for years for her mother-in-law.
The mother-in-law died recently without making a profession of faith. Now this dear lady is wondering whether she should bother to pray since her prayers obviously don't make any difference to God's election.
