Christian Education for Children in Vyborg, Russia

WRF member Margaret Courtney writes: The church in Vyborg, Russia is a relatively new church. This past year, the people of the church realized that they needed to address the spiritual needs of a growing group of young children. We were able to assist them in developing a Christian Education program.

The scope and sequence of the curriculum I designed consisted of a chronological study of the Bible. The instructional approach involved the telling of Bible stories with age appropriate crafts to reinforce the lesson. I was also able to assist the church in obtaining a good set of pictures to accompany the Bible stories. Additionally, craft suggestions were given for each lesson using resources that were available to the people of Vyborg. Basic patterns and pictures were sent to assist in making age appropriate crafts for children from 3 year olds through third graders. On the national level, I assisted the Chahalem Valley Church, a Nathan Lewis church plant, in Newberg, Oregon, in organizing a program for the children of their church. For further information or suggestions, please contact Margaret Courtney at This email address is being protected from spambots.
